There are several basic kanzashi styles and designs from delicate pins, elegant combs, and even little fans, as well as the much more complex and detailed silk tsumami hana (flower) and seasonal styled arrangements for each month. Many motifs and traditional symbols are often adorning the little works of art or are the main feature themselves meticulously sculpted out of various mediums be that metal, silk, or even shells. Please look below for more information and images on each type.
