Types of Kanzashi -
There are several basic
kanzashi styles and designs from delicate pins, elegant combs, and even little
fans, as well as the much more complex and detailed silk tsumami hana (flower)
and
seasonal
styled arrangements for each month. Many motifs and traditional symbols are
often adorning the little works of art or are the main feature themselves
meticulously sculpted out of various mediums be that metal, silk, or even
shells. Please look below for more information and images on each type.

Festival & Event Kanzashi
Many,
if not all kanzashi can be attributed to a traditional Japanese motif or in the
case of this section attributed for use during a particular festival, holiday,
or event. Many carry similar themes from the seasonal hana kanzashi, but
others are more unique.
